Chicagoland Pre-College Initiative
The Chicagoland PCI committee focuses on introducing Chicago area students in grades 6 – 12
to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) career fields. We serve the community
through two major programs those being the Chicagoland NSBE Jr chapter and the summer
TryMathALon (TMAL) program.

Chicagoland NSBE Jr
The chapter is open to any student in grades 6-12 in the greater chicagoland area. Chapter
meetings are held once a month during the school year. Students learn about various engineering
careers, participate in teams to compete at NSBE conferences, develop leadership and team
building skills. They also and interact with Alumni and collegiate NSBE members as they serve
as volunteers and mentors for the activities.
